According to a 2013 article featured in the Chicago Tribune, the top ten ‘dream’ cars include brands such as Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and Bentley. While we drool over these pricey cars, the reality is that most of us will never be able to afford one. Bummer! But let’s look on the bright side—at least we don’t have to pay a fortune to keep our less flashy cars safe. Whether you paid $280,000 or $34,000 for your vehicle, there is one thing we can all agree on; no one wants their car stolen.
Luckily, there is a way to better protect your beloved ride against theft and the best part is it’s free. That’s right—you don’t have to spend a dime. We have partnered with the Phoenix Police Department and the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority to bring free VIN etching to the valley. Don’t worry, it isn’t a form of voodoo magic or anything fancy. It simply means that the Phoenix Police Department, paired with the AATA, will engrave your vehicle’s identification number onto every window pane on your ride to deter theft. Here is a quick look at the process:
Step 1: VIN is verified and printed on acidic tape.
Step 2: VIN tape is affixed to each pane of glass.
Step 3: VIN is transferred from the tape to the glass.
Step 4: Etching tape is removed.
Etching is permanent and the entire process takes 5-10 minutes.
Bring your ride to our Cactus location on Friday, March 7th, from 10am-2pm and deter theft. Ferrari’s happily accepted.
